Medicare
The alphabet soup, translated into a plan that fits your year.
Advantage, Supplement, Part D — Pinnacle's Medicare specialists make sure your coverage works with your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget.
In plain terms
Medicare is federal health coverage for people 65 and older and for some younger people with qualifying conditions. Original Medicare (Parts A and B) covers a great deal — but not everything, and the gap is where the real decisions live.
Medicare Advantage
All-in-one plans (Part C) that bundle hospital, medical, and usually drug coverage — often with extra dental or vision benefits.
Medicare Supplement
Medigap policies that fill the deductibles and copays Original Medicare leaves behind, for predictable out-of-pocket costs.
Part D
Prescription drug coverage matched to your actual medication list and pharmacy, to minimize your total annual cost.
The real question
What does Original Medicare actually leave you holding?
Parts A and B cover a great deal, but not all of it. Coinsurance, deductibles and prescriptions remain, and there is no annual cap on what you could spend. Supplement and Advantage plans exist to close that gap.
The gap
The gap is the part nobody explains.
Supplement and Advantage close it in genuinely different ways — one trades a higher monthly premium for very predictable costs, the other a lower premium for a network and cost-sharing. Which one wins depends entirely on how you actually use care.
The part that matters
01Supplement or Advantage, walked properly
The two work very differently on cost, which doctors you can see, and what happens when you travel. We put both against how you actually use care.
02Part D, checked against your prescriptions
Drug plans are where most money is quietly lost. We check your specific medications against each formulary.
03The deadlines that carry penalties
Some Medicare enrollment windows carry lifetime late penalties if missed. We make sure yours are on the calendar.
04Free, no-pressure reviews
We show you what you're eligible for and what each option costs. Which one you take is your call, and keeping what you have is a legitimate outcome.
Who it's for
Does this describe you?
- Anyone approaching 65
- People working past 65 deciding when to enroll
- Current enrollees reviewing coverage during the annual window
Timing matters more than health here.
During your initial windows, Medigap coverage is generally available without medical underwriting. Outside them, health can affect what you qualify for. Your Initial Enrollment Period is the 7-month window around your 65th birthday; Annual Open Enrollment runs Oct 15 – Dec 7.
